Hi! I'm Emily Dontsos, a professional writer, editor and strategic communications consultant based in Toronto. I live with my husband, our son and our spoiled cat. 

For nearly 20 years, I've been honing my craft as a writer, editor and strategic communicator focused on telling the stories and advancing the missions of Canada's most impactful non-profits (and some even further afield!). They span a broad range of sectors, from healthcare to social justice, education to the arts and a lot in between. Over the years, I've helped raise millions of dollars for charities big and small.

My expertise spans fundraising communications (including major and transformational-level proposals and donor communications), marketing communications, speechwriting, event scripting, academic writing, journalism and more. My personal creative writing has also been featured in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and the literary journal Blank Spaces.
