Hi! I'm Emily Dontsos, a professional writer, editor and strategic communications consultant based in Toronto. I live with my husband, our son and our very spoiled cat. 

​

A love of the written word has always been at the core of who I am. My two English degrees, journalism diploma and editing certificate (in progress) tell their own story! 

 

For well over 15 years, I've been honing my craft as a writer, editor and strategic communicator focused on telling the stories and advancing the missions of Canada's most impactful non-profits (and some even further afield!). They span a broad range of sectors, from healthcare to social justice, education to the arts and a lot in between. Over the years, I've helped raise millions of dollars for charities big and small.

My expertise spans fundraising communications (including major and transformational-level proposals and donor communications), marketing communications, speechwriting, event scripting, academic writing, journalism and more.
